Curly Hair Care
Curly hair needs it’s own regime. Forget what your friends do to look after their locks – you need your own rules!
MOISTURE
Curly hair requires extra moisture. A moisture-based shampoo & conditioner (ask your stylist which is best for you) is required & a leave in moisture product. If you have fine curly or wavy hair, you might find traditional curl products weigh your hair down. Ask your stylist for a personalised product regime.
Throwing a treatment masque in your hair every second wash gives your hair an extra moisture boost and makes your hair feel soft and luxe.
DRYING
Want to reduce the amount of frizz? Ditch the towel! Microscopically, towels have a Velcro like fibre. Switch out your towel for paper towel, an old t-shirt or a microfibre hair towel. Squeeze that water out – don’t rub.
Curly or wavy hair looks best left to air dry. If you need to blowdry, always use low heat and a diffuser
HEAT
Try to avoid heat styling (blowdrying, straightening or curling with an iron) as much as possible! If you do heat style your hair, always use a thermal protector.
BRUSHING
Ditch the brush! When you brush curls, it separates the strands so instead of sitting in a nice curl you get a frizzy head. Curls love to clump and that’s how you get a marvellous, glossy style. Instead of a brush, use a wide tooth comb to maintain your style.
On the day to day, pop in a touch of leave in conditioner/cream to comb through and tame your frizz.
Once you have it looking how you want it DON’T TOUCH IT. Touching your hair separates the strands and created the frizz.
STYLING
Using styling products with moisture in them will nurture and support your curls. We have products that have various amounts of hold, from soft and barely there, to strong and crunchy. Ask your stylist what is best for you.

Gently wring dry with an old tshirt, microfibre hair cloth or paper towel until your hair is not dripping anymore.
Apply your leave in moisture product & styling product – if you want to give it a little extra love and direction, you can twirl your curls while they’re damp here.
Let your hair air dry (or wrap it up to dry)
Try not to touch it!
Also sleeping in a silk scarf/on a silk pillowcase is good for dem curls too!~
